Your blood test results come back and it turns out that your thyroid isn’t low, after all. It’s almost disappointing, in a way, because you wanted an excuse for all this heaviness you’ve been carrying around, this tired body, these gray days. But, no, normal. You suspect stress, that sneaky culprit. You can see it under your eyes.
It’s a wakeup call, of sorts, though. If your body is weak it’s time to fix it. Time to get moving, again. So you pick up the 5-pound weights and lift them. Above your head, in front of your heart. Again and again, rep after rep. You will feel this all tomorrow, in the best possible way. You are pushing back against this wall. You are working, building yourself stronger.
