Goodnight Moon

Lily seems to have a very simple system for rating her favorite books: 1. Does it taste good? 2. Can I hold it?

Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown is hands-down Lily’s favorite book, and at least two times a day she will pick it out of a stack and flip through it.

Let’s do the math: 2 reads per day x 7 days a week x 4 weeks a month x 8.5 months = Memorized.

Can Mommy recite the words in her sleep?  You bet.

(By the way, I now talk about myself in the third person.  Also by the way, Riley the dog likes to eat this book, too.  Goodnight Moon was pristine when we bought it.  It is now well-chewed.)
